This makes huns great for early games where those resources are precious commodities that could be put to better use elsewhere.

The first category, 1v1 land, focuses on games that are generally low resources, small spaces, and short games. Feel free to discuss others in the comments, and if it generates enough interest I’ll write a future post about it =D Obviously there are more factors that play a role in this game, but these are the ones I’ll be focusing on this post.

In order to figure this out, I would split up the types of games into categories. However, There definitely are ways of determining which civilizations are better than others. The question “which civ is the best?” is hard to answer because of all the factors that play a role… How many players are in the game? What is the map? What civ are you playing against?Įach of these factors makes answering this question difficult. Obviously the designers tried to make the game as balanced as possible, and yet, there are matchups that seem lopsided. In Age of Conquerors, each civ is unique in it’s tech tree, unique unit, and unique tech.
