Steam is supposed to update all games automatically, but it has a bad habit of neglecting to do so. This might be a stupid question, but how do you update the game? Go to your Library and find Sonic Generations. I'd reccommend using an FPS limiter to lock it at 30f fps - which is what the game is designed for anyway. Also check to see if your antivirus software is interfering. I should be able to play it fine Since I use nvidia and not ati I cant say how to, but you need to force the game to use your ATI card. It used to play perfectly until the tunnel of lag and lots of onscreen stuff but now it's all the time. Have you tried Razer Game Booster? That's what I use and it helps with the lag a lot. Pretty much any problem you encounter for any PC game unless it's some super idiosyncratic problem due to your hardware should be documented here and have a solution.
